5 Ways to Tell if Your College Crush Likes You

5 Ways to Tell if Your College Crush Likes You Have your eye on someone as a potential date? Boyfriend? Girlfriend? Or, at the least, someone to ask out for coffee or a drink, away from the college crowd? Trying to see if he or she likes you or not can be maddening. These five situations can help you gauge the other persons feelings- as well as your own- about possibly taking things to another level. 1. Go Out in a Group Is this person by you the whole night? Are you by them? Are they interested in what you have to say? Do they laugh at your jokes, wait for you when the group moves around, and pay attention when you talk? Are you frequently making eye contact? If you close your eyes and imagined the person not with the group, would your experience change? Answering yes to any of these questions might indicate an interest in you in particular instead of just common group dynamics. 2. Do Something Together Off Campus If you have to visit a local museum for your art history paper, see if this potential-date wants to come along. Their eagerness at doing so, and the chemistry that happens while you guys are out, can be a great way to see whats going on between the two of you. Of course, if youre heading off campus, make sure youre safe about it. 3. Grab a Meal Together If youre interested in someone, chances are that you have things in common and have done things together, or with a group, already. If so, try to carry that momentum into a seemingly-friendly meal together. Did you work together on a class project, seek his or her advice on your computer science program, or research similar paper topics in the library? If so, say you want to celebrate finishing by grabbing a quick meal off campus. Keeping it really casual can be the key to seeing what your dynamics are when youre alone. Running off campus for a quick lunch of a burger or dim sum has a much different feel than a nice, sit-down evening meal thats been planned two weeks in advance. 4. Ask for Help With Something If you like someone and he or she is really smart in a certain subject or has some experience in a research topic youre working on, see if they are interested in helping you. You can have a great discussion that will help expand your understanding of something you already find interesting, and you can see what this person is like on a more personal level. Have they had a lot of classes with a new professor of yours, and if so, can they talk to you about how that person grades? Are they majoring in a discipline youre taking your first class in? Can they give you some feedback on a survey you want to pass out to people in your residence hall? Then, of course, see how the conversation goes. Are they willing to help? Friendly? Interesting and engaging? Supportive? Someone youd want to have more conversations with...say, over a real college dinner date that isnt made of food you both sneaked into the library? 5. Share Some Exciting News Did you just hear that you were accepted into your summer internship program? Get an A on that project you asked for help with? Get happy news from one of your friends or family members? Share it with your potential crush and see how he or she reacts. If they are supportive, interested, and want to celebrate with you one-on-one, it might be a sign that the friendship could develop into more. A Note If You Feel Self-Conscious Around Your Crush Remember that having a crush on someone, and even putting it totally in the open, is something that should be very flattering. Anyone worth dating in the first place should be touched by your sentiments and handle them with respect, no matter what their feelings are in return. Put yourself out thereotherwise, youll never know!

luck essays

luck essays Approximately 29,000 individuals each year are diagnosed with Leukemia (National Cancer Institute 1). Leukemia is a form of cancer that affects the bodys ability to produce healthy blood cells (National Cancer Institute 1). As Leukemia is becoming more prevalent in our society, it is important that we are able to understand what leukemia is affecting within the body and recognize the possible risks, symptoms, and treatments of different types of this cancer. In understanding Leukemia, it is important to know how blood is classified. Every individual has two main types of blood cells: red blood cells called erythrocytes; and white blood cells called leukocytes (United States 2). Both erythrocytes and leukocytes begin as one specific cell. This cell called a stem cell, originates in the bone marrow and will differentiate and develop into either an erythrocyte or a leukocyte according to the need of the body at a particular time (United States 2). White blood cells are the bodys way to defend itself from illness or disease (United States 3). Leukemia, meaning white blood,(Leukemia 1) directly affects the bodys ability to produce and develop properly functioning white blood cells. If the body cannot produce healthy leukocytes, the bodys resistance against illness and disease decreases. One way leukemia is divided is into Acute Leukemia or Chronic Leukemia depending on the speed at which the cancer advances (United States 7). After L eukemia is determined to be either acute or chronic it is then classified as lymphoid or myeloid (United States 4). Within the division of Leukocytes, white blood cells, there are various types of cells. Whether Leukemia is myeloid or lymphoid is dependent upon the type of white blood cell that is affected: lymphoid cells or myeloid cells; both cells affect the response of the body's immune system (United States 3). Leukemia is not a disease that is ...

Reasons to Attend to University of the Arts in London Essay

Reasons to Attend to University of the Arts in London - Essay Example This institution (UAL) is not only one of the strongest school for art in UK but also the life in the nation especially in London and it is an ideal complementary to education.   In fact, London is considered as one of the most creative capitals in the entire world. The capital is renowned for its exhibition spaces that are of artistic runs, galleries, museums, landmarks of international standards, as well as rich history (UAL Para 1). The location is near perfect to be considered as a world class learning environment. I think it will help me in the development of my art skills. Furthermore, I feel settled in my choice of course, as well as, the institution since it is evident that the institution has significantly helped its students in achieving their dreams. Moreover, there are wide ranges of opportunities for development through their programs (UAL Para 2). I hope studying this course can improve myself and in my future career. Apparently, this learning institution has the larg est network for creativity in the globe. For an instant, the Alumni Association amounts to approximately 200,000 alumni inclusive of its former staff in about 148 countries. Moreover, they are also partnered and affiliated with agencies all over the world. In turn, it enables the institution and its stakeholders to share its passion for arts (UAL Para 3). I have not yet really known what I am choosing to do in the future but I am absolutely certain that I like design and architecture. However, my choice for settling for design and architecture is driven by several factors. The perception out there is that architecture is viewed as a life style and not a job besides individuals having respect for architects. Architects are perceived to be responsible and ethical since they often endeavor to make informed decision even if it is to their detriment. Besides, the tasks involved in architecture have been constantly evolving with time (Henderson 19).   Interestingly, the career is also c haracterized by longevity since individual have the leverage of practicing the profession for as long as they desire. In addition, a career in this field enables individuals to positively impact on the lives of individuals. This is because it tends to be rewarding when an individual has the leverage of developing a relationship with the client. If I pronounce that I have a particular design that affects me then it will be a white lie. In fact, I do not know of any architectural design that influences me. However, there are two type of architect design I have developed a liking for. They are green building and postmodernism. Green building (or green construction) is referred to the structure and the utilization of processes that are not only resource efficient but also environmentally responsible in the entire lifestyle of a building. It encompasses balancing the construction of a structure and ensuring that the processes are environmentally sustainable (Henderson 23). On the other h and, postmodernism architecture is a type of architecture that began in the mid 20th century but picked up in the 70s and has continued to influence architecture to the present day (Jencks 55).
